Why We Built This Site
Maryland gives the public real access to court information, and the hard part is working out which office holds the piece you need. A warrant does not sit in a single drawer. The judge who signs it controls it. The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Dorchester County keeps Circuit Court criminal files at the courthouse on High Street, while the Clerk of the District Court of Maryland, Dorchester location, keeps the traffic, misdemeanor, and failure-to-appear files at the Gay Street courthouse.
Service adds another layer. The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office works from Fieldcrest Road and handles county law enforcement, court security, civil process, and service coordination, but its public site does not name a separate warrant desk. Cambridge and Hurlock each run a local police department, and neither one publishes a warrant search.
On top of that, Maryland has no public statewide warrant database. The Judiciary's CaseSearch portal is a case-information tool rather than a warrant list, and its own warnings say it should not be treated as an authoritative record. Nor does Maryland run municipal courts, so a town citation becomes a District Court case instead of a city docket. Check one office, see nothing, and it is easy to assume you are clear. We gather the addresses, phone numbers, search steps, and access rules for these offices in one place, so a reader can begin in the right spot.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Maryland court, the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, or any state agency, and there are firm limits on what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing on this site is current at this moment
Only the court that issued a warrant can recall or clear it, and only the sheriff's office can confirm how service was handled. We can point you to the right counter, but the answer has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site carry search boxes operated by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services, and when a search leads to a paid signup we may earn a referral fee. That revenue keeps this site free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and no partner result counts as an official warrant check.
